You're probably sick of hearing me talk about this, but my Honors Concert Choir audition is Friday! At 2:25! I'm a little nervous, can you tell!?!? I've been freaking out because I'm not sure how I'll do. No one has ever really told me whether I have a good voice or not, except my friends and you know they kind of have to lie if indeed I'm terrible. Also whenever I record myself singing I sound like a choking duck, I'm serious. But that's probably just my phone and it's primitive voice recorder. And also I can't play the piano so I can't be sure of the starting notes for the scales I have to sing. I've been looking up virtual pianos online and they sorta actually work, so that's good :)
The other thing is this. Yesterday in choir Mrs. Haynes (the old choir director who retired last year) stopped by to tell us about Hairspray auditions. Hairspray is the MoorArts musical this summer. I knew about the auditions and had thought about trying out, but as they are this weekend, I had kind of decided not to. I figured I probably wouldn't get a part anyway, so why bother getting all nervous? I assumed I might end up backstage again with my costume friends from Anything Goes, since they're all doing costumes for it. But then she came and talked about it and she said they need a BIG cast and when she asked who would be interested only a few people raised their hands. So maybe I have a shot after all?
So basically my question is WHAT SHOULD I DO??? Auditions are Friday and Saturday. Should I bother getting all nervous for Hairspray when I have a choir audition on Friday too? I should mention that I've never been in a musical before. I really want to be in it, I just don't want to audition, I think that's my problem. Any advice is welcome! Thanks for your tolerance!

I think that you should do what you want. It seems like you really want to audition for Hairspray so I think you should audition!!!
Thanks for the advice!!!
I decided that I will audition! Even though I'll probably have to sing in front of everyone because I think that's how you audition in musical theater.
So you know where I'll be Saturday at 10 am!!!
Haha you're welcome. Good luck!!! I'll be at Matt's piano audition at 10 on Saturday so I suppose that the hairspray audition is a lot better than the piano audition!!!
